It determined which programs were worthy of its top-ranking status by examining their level of accreditation, reputation among peer institutions, and the academic/career support services each institution provides its students. Its top-five picks for best online MBA programs for 2013 are as follows:

·      Washington State University, Pullman, Wash. – Ranked at number one, this online program earned an 84.2 percent score under the faculty credentials and training category. All of WSU’s classes are recorded and archived on their website, and it is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business(AACSB).

·      Arizona State University, Tempe, Ariz.  – ASU comes in at number two for its admissions selectivity and its ability to engage its students in the program of study. This program also has earned accreditation.

·      Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind. – Ranked at number three, this university received its high rating due to a combination of faculty credentials and training, student engagement and admissions selectivity. It is accredited.

·      University of Florida, Gainesville, Fla. – Ninety-eight percent of students who enroll in this online MBA program already are employed and looking to further their degree. This program records and archives all of its classes online and is fully accredited.

·      California State University, Fullerton, Calif. – This program ranked at number five for its faculty credentials and training, as well as its ability to engage its students within the program of studies. Like the four online programs mentioned previous to this one, CSU’s also is accredited.
